Preliminary Briefing on Thunderstone Pirates

Ok, so Vice-Admiral Garp asked us to take care of these Thunderstone Pirates, and we're about to make landfall, so I think it would be a good idea to go over what information we've been able to get on them and then hopefully come up with a plan to catch them.

Right. We'll start with their captain, Thunder. Other than having a really dumb name, she seems like she'll be kinda hard to catch. She has a bounty of 90,000 beri. According to reports, she uses a club to channel thunder like energy from the atmosphere which will stun whoever gets hit by it, so we'll need to watch out for that.

The first mate is Stone. It seems like they're kind of a couple, I guess? So that probably explains the name of their crew. His bounty is 50,000 beri. I think he's just... tough? Anyway, no special talents have been reported.

A third member of their crew, Jonas, has a bounty of 30,000 beri. He's known as a pickpocket, so I'm guessing he'll be pretty fast and agile.

All told, they have about 20 crew, all with varying abilities. They've been holding a town captive for two weeks, demanding payment of 1,000,000 beri from the government. We're to go in pretending to have the money for them, so I guess that means that they'll be wanting us to come.

Other than that, though, we really ought to make some sort of a plan. Or at least get an idea of each others' abilities beforehand, so that we don't screw each other up. So. I guess I'll start. I have protective armor, so if they fire guns at me don't worry, the bullets will just bounce off. You should be careful that they don't ricochet and hit you, though. I'm a good fighter (Nii-san hasn't ever beat me, and he's pretty well known where we come from), and I can do a lot of things with alchemy.

Plue can only do magic cancellation so he isn't much use here.

Lyra is a muscian.

Horologium can be a safe place to hide for the time limit we agreed on.

Loki (Technically his name is Leo but there is a long story I'm not telling unless Loki says I can) can use light magic to punch things.

Sagittarius is an archer! His arrows are really strong.

Virgo can dig holes, she is also very strong and can hit people.

Cancer has scissors to attack with.

Taurus has an ax and bull strength.

Aquarius is um. A desperation attack as she attacks me along with the enemy. But she makes waves.

Well, if the thunder attack is magic, then Plue might be really useful. A safe zone will be really good if someone gets hurt. Loki sounds like he'll be really useful, and so do the rest of them.

Except that they're holding an entire town hostage and think that we're the ones bringing them the ransom money. What we need to do is use that against them, get most or all of the pirates together, then let Natsu loose. It's just, well, I don't know if they'd all gather together in the same room if we just walked in and said, "Hey, Pirates, can we get you all to go into the same room while we give you the money?"

I mean, I kinda hope they wouldn't fall for that. >.>

Aye! I can supply air support. Although I can only carry one or two people for a short period of time. The heavier they are the less I'll be able to hold them for. Natsu and I tend to team up so you'll have to run it by him whether you want me for some sort of help.

Well, I didn't think we'd need too much, but it is always good to know what you're gonna be up against, and since this is the first time we're fighting together I thought it would be nice if we figured out who can do what.

We have to be careful, though, because there are normal people, too, and they'll probably try to use them as shields. We don't want to hurt anyone but the pirates. So until we figure out which ones are the hostages and which ones are the pirates we should probably not attack anyone.
